My purchase took a very long time, however, this was not due to our solicitor. The selling solicitor was slow to respond (taking 3 weeks to respond to an adjusted offer). Communication with Jaspreet was professional and overall pretty good, however, I often did not get replies to emails and was not always updated on the progress. However, whenever I called I was able to speak with Jaspreet (the one occasion she was on a call, she called back within an hour or 2), which is better than I have experienced with others who often are permanently 'on a call' and rarely call back. Overall, I have been pretty pleased, although I ended up paying a fair bit over the quoted price, this was mostly due to the nature of the purchase (2x gifted deposits and a sasine title), however, my original quote missed out a £100 charge for the money laundering check (for all deposits over £5k) and £100 for a gifted deposit (despite it being in the requested quote). So, it may be worth double checking your quote prior to initiating. But if you do go with them, just be aware you might need to call to check - but at least when you do you get a quick and competent answer (Jaspreet always knew what the situation was - usually waiting for the other solicitor!)

They (in common with lots of lawyers) need to learn to use lay language when dealing with clients who don't understand legal terminology.
