Question
I live on my own and I am worried about showing potential visitors around. Would it be possible for my estate agent to show all viewers round my home? Would this affect the estate agent fees or saleability of my home? Thanks, Jackie.
Answer
Most estate agents provide accompanied viewings of the properties on their books. So if you are concerned about showing people around yourself I would ask the question before signing up with an agent.
In terms of affecting the saleability of your home, in my experience no one can sell a house as well as the person who has lived in it and knows all the answers to a potential buyer’s questions. A small number of estate agencies don’t have out of business hours viewings either, which could severely impact the opportunity of someone seeing and falling in love with your house for obvious reasons. Make sure the estate agent you sign up with fits your needs.

It was a good experience with quite a few instant quotes. Also helped us finalise someone to ahead with our survey as the price being offered was very competitive.
