We were delighted with Rod’s work. He saved us from making a big mistake buying a property that required much more remedial work than it looked like it needed on the surface. Rod was incredibly professional and thorough. He took and sent us multiple photographs and a very detailed written report. We had several phone calls to clarify and ask questions. Rod was unfailingly patient and committed to giving us the information that we needed to make the right decision. He was quick to respond and take action and his communication was clear and timely. He is a real gem a genuine decent human being and we would not hesitate to recommend him. Firstly Rod was polite and helpful. He was thorough in his explanations and enlightened me on things I hadn't even thought to consider. As a First Time Buyer I had a fair amount of questions and Rod answered them well and with patience. Organising a survey was quick and efficient. Once he was at the property he was thorough, taking over 2 hours to complete his observations. On completion he invited me to the property to have a look around with him, highlighting any problems. He spotted damp in a few areas, and suggested a specialist check it over. Which I am now waiting to do. His written report took less than a week to receive and would of been quicker had I not had a minor online banking issue and was able to pay him sooner. His report was clear, concise and comprehensive. It highlighted various faults and even touched on things my solicitor should consider. If your a FTB or new to the housing market I'd certainly recommend getting a survey done. They highlight many things you might not know or understand. They may cost a bit, but it could save you money in the long run. I'd absolutely recommend Rod to carry out this important bit of research on your behalf.

Fantastic service and value for money. I was provided with a very detailed Homebuyers report which I was able to use to renegotiate a sale agreed price following several problems which were raised. Very competent, comprehensive and professional service. Mr Stradling kept us informed of the process all the way through, including a large quantity of site photos for reference. A very competitive price, but most importantly a comfortable and easy process to go through, backed up by quality service. Well done. Would I use again?, yes of course, first choice.

Mr Stradling spent some considerable time surveying the property and then immediately after the survey I met him at the property and he spent a further two hours going through the points that he wished to draw my attention to. I found that being there and listening to his explanations/ comments first hand most useful it also enabled me to proceed with the purchase without having to wait for his written report. The numerous photos that he took at the property, were quickly sent to me and although did not include any description nevertheless told their own story which matched the verbal report that he had given me. The electronic version of the written report reached me in good time and the hard copy arrived in the post a few days later. Should this purchase fall through and I were to seek another property in the area I would definitely approach Rod to conduct any further surveys for me.
