How improving your partner profile can have a big impact on your business

By The reallymoving Team Updated 14th Jun, 2019

Your partner directory page on reallymoving can have a huge impact on your leads conversion, especially if you’re a smaller company. Why?

There are two main ways that the partner directory has an impact – in building your brand, and in building customer trust.

    Building your brand

When you fill out your partner directory with relevant, interesting information, such as your location, specialisms, accolades and awards, you take up more space in search engine results pages.

This means your company takes advantage of reallymoving’s SEO strategy and you’ll show up in more places on the page.

As a result, your name and brand will become more recognisable, you’ll be seen as a company that is listed in multiple locations and you’ll show you’re supported by the brands of the directories you inhabit.

    Building customer trust

Trust starts with recognition – seeing your name, logo and description more frequently will create a relationship with the potential customer, before you’ve even done anything. But once the customer has a quote, it’s not just down to the price or location – they may want more information about you.

Your company directory is the chance to sell yourself directly to the customer, making it clear why you’re great at what you do (including any awards, accolades and stand out services), what areas you cover and why they should choose you.

Your profile should not just give a list of the services you offer, but give a feel of who you are as a company, give the customer an emotional base to work from as well as a rational one.

As you know, one of the most important things on your directory page is your collection of reviews. These continue to build trust because they are from people who have actually used your services. In some cases, the odd less-than-favourable review can actually work in your favour, because it shows that they are authentic and the reviewing system is fair. You can find out more about this in our article on why reviews matter.

What makes a great partner directory page?

We’ve already mentioned that you need to tell potential customers who you are and why they should use you, as well as mentioning any major achievements in your industry.

We suggest breaking up the directory with an introductory paragraph that includes:
    • your location
    • a brief company history
    • the things that make you great.

You could then bullet point the services you offer, or the advantages of using your service.

Adding a video to your directory page, an opportunity we brought to the site last year, can really make a difference in helping the customer get to know you better. Whether it’s a high-tech produced video on the services you offer, or simply a member of your team sharing their passion for the industry, it brings a human element to the page.

As it’s a newer feature on reallymoving, it may help you stand out from the crowd too.

    What’s most important?

Even if you don’t think you’re a whizz with the words, or don’t have a marketing team to work on this for you, it’s important to add what you can to your directory. You can go in and update it yourself on your partner dashboard at any time, but if you are concerned about it, you can speak to your reallymoving sales manager. They work directly with our optimisation team who make sure the directories are as good as they can be, are formatted correctly and are doing all they can to promote you and your business.

Whenever something changes with your company, whether that’s winning an award, achieving a new qualification, adding to your team or expanding into new areas, add it to your dashboard, or tell our sales team. We’re happy to change your directory page to ensure it’s up to date and relevant to your business.
