Helen should have communicated the details I noted to the movers so that they could fit all the furniture in the truck in one trip instead of two, but the movers were great. The move went smoothly and without much hassle (aside from the two trips needing to have been made).

Good experience with the movers themselves - very attentive, fast and polite - but was let down by a poor experience with the customer service. It took well over a week to receive a receipt for a payment made, despite frequent reminders. We let them know from the outset that a receipt was needed and were repeatedly told that it was being done. We have since been notified that this process was outsourced, hence the delay, but we were not aware of this beforehand. The company were also difficult to get hold of on the day. For these reasons, we would not recommend.

the Movers are us, we are they, the move was first class, on time, there were no damages and the client paid £186 inc vat by visa which in itself is a receipt of a transaction. It was informed to the client that our bookwork is outsourced and as such we are governed by the bookkeepers other duties as well as ours. We were not aware that a receipt was required from the outset and can never raise one before a move unless an all in price is agreed. I feel it is very sad to say she will not recommend us because of a receipt for which she had paid by visa. The client was well aware of the service provided and the details thereof as she had moved house! The client did not attempt to reach the office on the day as the team were on time and all was well. In reality this is because of having to wait for a receipt. It’s such a shame she felt the need to award 2 stars based on that. We are a removal company and our removals are the service we provide. My teams are brilliant, fast and efficient and once again have delivered. My bookkeeper on the other hand is a little slower.

The service was generally good. There were a few issues: 1. Timeliness: I had verbally agreed a start time of 2 PM with Helen. But it was not put into writing. The movers arrived 3 hours late, around 5 PM. That had a knock-on effect, and the move which should have been wrapped up by late evening, finished at midnight. With a young child, this was a huge inconvenience - Upon raising this with Helen, she simply pointed to the company's terms and conditions, which state that unless agreed to in writing, the company will not be held to a particular start time. In other words, if you agree a start time verbally, that doesn't mean much and you should be prepared for a start as per the convenience of London Moving and the availability of their movers on that day. - The other thing that happened was, despite agreeing a 2 PM start with Helen, the movers actually texted me at 7.45 am, saying that they were on their way to start the move at 8 am. I responded to them that we were not okay with an 8 am start, as we had other things to take care of. Apparently, Helen had forgotten to tell her movers that she had agreed a 2 PM start for the job 2. The quote provided is just indicative: because there is no guarantee what time the movers will finish, and they can take as much time as they need. That includes smoking breaks, dinner breaks. It is a bit like a black cab - you keep paying for everything. It might be better to agree a fixed quote with this company

The client rang the day before moving to book this move. I informed him emphatically that this would be a late afternoon start and that it may even go as late as 430/445pm, I would not take the booking without this understanding. On the day the team had a cancellation and offered the client an earlier start given this was a pack and move. He declined. No stress there the team informed him they or another team would attend in the later afternoon, which they did. The movers, as the clients have indicated were generally good, they were brilliant. Thankfully we had provided a new team and plenty of materials as this was much larger than the client represented and they had not prepared as much as they had hoped. This was not a problem for our guys and they just got stuck in and provided a brilliant service. I have informed the client that given we agreed a late afternoon start and arrived at 445pm,arrangements should have been made for his child as it is usual for one member of the family to attend to the children as the men are working. Usually for the afternoon moves we offer an estimated guideline time of arrival as we are governed by morning moves and traffic. In this instance the client was well aware that we would not be there until the late afternoon. We could not have accepted the booking otherwise. All breaks are deducted at the end of the move and the total thereafter calculated. The client paid less than £500 for a move which started at 445pm and finished at midnight and which included a packing service , dismantling and reassembly and all materials. We pride ourselves in the level of service we provide and are very aware of the stress caused by afternoon moves. We always advise clients with any deadlines or constraints, to take a morning move. We chosen London Moving UK company because of its positive customer feedback and competitive prices. I provided the company with a list of inventory (e.g. furniture, no. of boxes, bags, suitcases etc) and in return, I was assured that a Luton van with tail lift and 2 men would suffice. Well, it did not. In the end, we had to make two round trips and at one point, we had to move the remaining items to the garage at the old house so that the new owners can start unloading. Luckily, we were only moving to another town which is 20mins away. Still, we could have done with one trip, provided the right van size was given in the first place.

Really great service. Although it looked more expensive than other firms we had quotes from, the price was all in and it didn't cost more to help with disassembling and reassembling furniture / extra flights of stairs etc. The guys on the day worked so hard - they had our London flat packed up within an hour and a half and then had a 5 hour drive up to Yorkshire - they unpacked everything really well there.. and then they had to drive all the way back to London - we were exhausted without doing all the heavy lifting, so we were really impressed. Great service, thank you for making our moving day go so smoothly!

These guys were truly amazing. Really professional, really helpful and amazingly hard working. They had a great sense of humour and their on the day experience was tremendously helpful to us. They packed everything for us supremely well and moved it with great care. Nothing was damaged and the entire move was smooth from start. A genuinely delightful experience.
