Dealing with Banbridge Surveyors was a very pleasant and efficient experience. The price for their Homebuyers Report was one of the best, and while this played a role I ultimately opted for them because: - They provided a specific turnaround time i.e. If you instructed us today, we could do the survey on X and have it with you for Y. This was so refreshing compared to others' line of "It will take between 10 and 20 days, to be confirmed when you instruct us" - Having been let down by a poor survey from another company before, it was fantastic to be able to speak to an actual surveyor at the outset and talk through my concerns. Not only this but Martin's knowledge and passion for surveying really shone through (even though I hadn't instructed them yet) which filled me with confidence on his and Jeremy's work ethic and the quality of the survey. I was also reassured by their vast experience and the independent nature of their business. I was not disappointed. The survey took place on the day I was told it would, I received a call the next day to confirm it had taken place successfully, and I had the report promptly. The report itself was most thorough addressing both specific concerns I had raised and equally issues I was not aware of in perfect detail. This included a comprehensive "things your legal advisor should check" section which reiterated any issues in summary (something that was sorely lacking in my last report from a different company). Where any construction terminology featured it was accompanied with layman's language in brackets so everything was clear without me needing to look things up online! I also benefited from an invaluable follow up conversation in which I had the opportunity to run through the issues identified in the survey and ask for advice on how they would recommend I proceed (e.g. you should insist A and B are fixed). All in all a very smooth and pleasant experience. When I am next in the market I will definitely be calling upon Banbridge Surveyors.

Prompt and friendly service, but the survey contained some minor inaccuracies. I would also have appreciated more detail about what the problems with the garage actually were, to give rise to the statement that it needed repair. However this did prompt me to go and look closely at it, which showed that the roof timbers are damp, and it was helpful that they commented that replacing the asbestos roof would be expensive.

A very good service overall and excellent value for money, by some margin the cheapest quote we obtained. We had a building survey done -- the surveyor contacted me a couple of days afterwards and spent around an hour talking through the issues with me, which was extremely useful as it helped put the official report, with all the standard jargon and disclaimers, into perspective. The final report was just slightly late, arriving at about midnight on the 11th working day after the survey.

Only problem experienced was contacting the surveyors who were rarely in the office and needed chasing to return calls or emails. The Homebuyers Report was adequate for the purpose and raised the necessary points of concern. Price was good.
