Moving itself is very stressful as it is, so it definitely doesn't help when the removal company adds on to your stress levels. We have booked parking spots at our old flat and at the new flat and strictly advised London Moving that we were bounded by the time slots provided. Of course, due to traffic etc 15-20 mins delays could be expected, so when we booked the slots we've taken that into consideration. However, LM was more than an hour late and we were put under immense pressure by our old property management and the new one's parking arrangements. But one could think that at the end of the day these things may happen, right? I agree. So here's my main frustration. The whole process couldn't have been managed less professionally. We weren't kept informed of the arrival times or the trucks whereabouts but since noone gave us a call highlighting any risks, I assumed they were going to show up at the agreed time (2pm), especially considering that Helen and I had several discussions the day before and she even called me one last time to advise that they were able to make sure/confirm the truck was going to be with us at 2pm sharp. Come 2pm, noone to be seen. So I called the company landline provided several times (no other way to reach them except for that and an email) and no one picked, so i sent an email. Of course you can imagine my stress as this is all happening, I even thought maybe it was all a spam or they've totally forgotten about us. After several attempts someone picked up the phone (and at this point i highly suspect from the noises I heard that it is a family run company and as it didnt sound like an office rather someone on a saturday afternoon rushed from the garden to pick up the phone), who has then passed the phone to Helen. I asked her the whereabouts of the truck she said she cannot reach them but will try to do so and give me a call. At this point we're running out of time and my panic is hitting the roof. I waited for her to call back, so i assumed she still couldnt reach them but i couldnt help myself but call her back, and then she's advised that she's reached them and they messed up she shouted at them and they are now on their way to us and should be with us in 20 mins. Of course they were with us in 40 mins instead. And during this whole time I felt as if I was rushed away and she had somewhere to be, not taking her time to console me just saying she was frustrating and getting on with her barbecue probably. So it was the way I was made to feel and the way the whole thing was managed that frustrated me more than the fact that they were over an hour late. Oh and I asked for a receipt to be sent which she promised she would the next day (again busy with the barbecue I guess) which never came inspite of the fact that I did send a reminder. That said here are some other facts: - When I first attempted to book their service it was James who dealt with me and he was super professional, helpful and attentive, so going forward I would recommend this company to either let James be the customer interface or manage their business or train their employees to better interact with their customers - The guys who arrived the flat and helped us move were very nice and resprectful and treated our goods carefully - Overall I got the job done for a reasonable price, probably one of the more affordable ones in the market, so for the cheap price provided i guess i got my money's worth when compared to the service provided, but it wasn't worth the stress i've been through honestly.

The team made an error of judgement and delivered materials to a client before the move herewith detailed, they were informed to deliver them afterward. I asked the client to allow me to track them and speak with them and informed her that to do so I needed to leave the phone and report back, I apologise if this seemed rushed at the time. I had emphasised to the team that the move should be attended at 2pm and as with all afternoon moves we did explain to the client that we cannot be exact due to variables that occur on the day such as delayed morning moves, keys being delayed and traffic in London. Unfortunately as the team delivered materials before the move they caused the delay which is unusual, however on a weekend when Banks are closed, deadlines tend to be slightly more flexible. Once I tracked the team I called them and informed them that their choice to deliver materials first to another client, had caused the move to start later and that they should get to their client ASAP. Our business is open on a Saturday & Sunday which is quite unusual in this industry after 1200 hours. I have a 7 day a week policy and am always contactable by phone, yes even on my daughter's 18th birthday party day, I will always speak to my clients and reassure them as I did this client. We were an hour late, the client paid £120 and had a respectful, professional team who handled her goods with care. In fact at the time she said all was well. I apologised at the time and could do no more than I had which was liaise with the client and the team, ensure they got together and reached a successful conclusion. The client paid by Visa and has not requested a receipt however I will ensure one is sent. James is my son and is very professional and well trained in his duties having been trained by me. I am a working mother working 7 days a week and at weekends from home, as are many people of this century so rather than this being an obstacle, it is in fact a benefit which extends my time to my clients as and when they need me even when I am at a BBQ.

Great service from London Moving. Communication was great. On the day the team were running an hour late but Helen kept me up to date and provided contact details for Martin, the main removals man. When they arrived Martin and his colleague were friendly, polite and efficient. They managed to do the whole move in just under the five hours quoted and this was on the hottest day of the year. Cannot recommend them enough.
